International Poetry Festival 2019

This year the meeting will be held from Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6, in 16 venues distributed in eight communes of Santiago.
In GAM, the Festival will be presented on Saturday, October 5, where there will be poetic recitals, workshops, exhibitions inspired by the works of the guests and artistic installations.
In this version they will participate more than 70 national and more than 25 international authors from Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, China, Spain, France, Haiti, India, England, among others. 

This Festival is presented by the CChC Cultural Corporation, the Chilean Chamber of Construction, the Somos Polen Group and has the support of UNESCO, among other cultural organizations.

About the guests at GAM

-Aurélia Lassaque (France)
PARIS 1983
Bilingual French-Occitan poet. He accompanies his readings with short songs, and usually collaborates with audiovisual artists, graphic artists, dancers and musicians. He has performed in numerous parts of the world, defending linguistic diversity. He has published the collections of poems Para que cann las salamadras (2013) and In search of a face (2017). It has been translated into English, Norwegian, Hebrew, Dutch and Catalan.

-Ming Di (China)
WUHAN
Ming Di (明迪) is a Chinese poet and translator living between Beijing and Los Angeles, the author of six books of poetry. She has been the China editor for Poetry International Rotterdam since 2012. She has received grants from the Luce Foundation and a translation award from the Poetry Foundation. She is the author of Luna Fracturada (Valparaíso Ediciones, Spain, 2014).

-Nora Gomringer (Germany)
1980
Swiss and German poet living in Bamberg. Write, create soundtracks and explain poems. His collection of poems Silabario (2002) was translated and published in Chile in 2015. On behalf of the Free State of Bavaria, he promotes artists of international origin at the Villa Concordia International House of Artists. He won the Literaturpreis des Kulturkreises der deutschen Wirtschaft 2013 and the Ingeborg-Bachmann-Preis 2015.

-Martín Gubbins (Chile)
SANTIAGO 1971
Chilean poet, artist, editor. Author of works of visual and sound poetry. He has participated in performances and individual and group exhibitions in different countries, such as Cuadernos de Compuesto, together with Daniel Reyes-León at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Santiago (2018). He has a Master's degree in Literature from the University of London, studies in art and photography at the Catholic University, and is a lawyer from the University of Chile.

-Poets Orchestra
SANTIAGO
Poetry and music group founded in Santiago de Chile in 2011. Its current members are Federico Eisner, Fernando Pérez, Pablo Fante and José Burdiles. He has published the book-records Declaration of Principles (2015), Dclrcn_d_prncps (2017), All Instruments (2019) and El Roce de las Voces (2019, together with Luis Bravo and Juan Ángel Italiano). It has been presented at different festivals and book fairs in Madrid, Venice, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Oaxaca and Bogotá.

-Radio Magallanes
SANTIAGO
Poetry, music and video art group, made up of Carlos Soto, Juan Diego Soto, Pablo Fante and Gonzalo Henríquez. He has published 11 nights (2019), a work of visual and sound poetry with archival materials from the military dictatorship, composed from the poetry collections 11 (Municipal Award 2018) by Carlos Soto and Verde noche (2017) by Pablo Fante
