International Mountain Week

The event seeks to promote the entrepreneurial and innovation culture of the mountain tourism ecosystem in the Metropolitan Region, in order to adapt to climate change and promote more resilient and sustainable mountain, adventure and nature tourism, which values ​​its natural and cultural heritage, under the principles of sustainability, gender equity and territorial development.

Each day will have different but complementary activities, which will allow us to reach a wider audience and bring the mountain closer to everyone. An initiative of the Transforma Andes Santiago program of Corfo Metropolitano, executed by the Territorial Development and Tourism Corporation of the RM.

Full-day seminar with online transmission “Adaptation to Climate Change and innovation to promote more resilient and sustainable mountain, nature and adventure tourism”, with thematic modules on mountain tourism, entrepreneurship for all, and the enhancement of heritage. There will be plenary conferences, motivational talks, success stories and a conversation panel, ending the day with a social networking activity. In parallel, throughout the day there will be an Expo with innovative projects and institutions related to mountain tourism.

“Cinema and Mountain Tourism Expo”, where the interaction between the supply and demand of mountain tourism with sports activities, tourism, services, parks in the region will be promoted; and in parallel talks, workshops, contests and documentary screenings. Those who register and attend the workshops and the mountain cinema will be able to participate for prizes from the El Colorado and Farellones Mountain Center, The North Face, Parque Cordillera, Parque Mahuida and Turistik.

"Mountain, adventure, nature and snow experiences", for different audiences, such as a tour of mountain centers, snow activities for the family, trekking, climbing, nature baths, and much more.
