FAMFEST 2018 opening

This Sunday, July 15, the eleventh version of FAMFEST, International Family Theater Festival organized by Centro Mori, will open. The event, aimed at the whole family, will take place in the central plaza of the GAM Center at 11:00 a.m., with free entry.

The La Patogallina Collective will install its Kamión Gallina, with an art gallery and a microcinema space, and then begin an interactive plaza with traditional games for the whole family and a trade and crafts fair.

The Perro Viejo company will be present with the super puppet, contemporary dance show, puppets and object theater, and the Oani Teatro collective will install its lambe lambe boxes.

The event will end with the show by the Los Fi theater company “Bye, goodbye electronic junk”, a musical show that combines body percussion, humor, movement and a magical staging.

Year after year, the FAMFEST International Family Theater Festival has become a milestone in the winter holidays, establishing family theater month. Under the motto “A festival of stories” this eleventh edition will take place between July 14 and 29 and will bring together 27 works from 9 countries: Belgium, Italy, Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Chile. The national billboard will have 7 premieres and 12 re-releases – 4 from regions – and will take place in 11 theaters in the capital, extending to the communes of Quilicura and La Pintana.
