The Fragments of Architectures Pavilion is presented in the Visual Arts Room of the GAM. Its design was commissioned by the curatorial team —Ángela Carvajal, Sebastián López and Óscar Aceves— to the 2nd name office, who developed it based on the premises and curatorial requirements of the Biennial. The event will also feature the participation of representatives of the College of Architects of Chile and the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.

The pavilion brings together fragments of architecture and memory: original pieces, artistic interventions, archival documents, books, collective memories and even unrealized competitions that at the time imagined radically transforming Santiago. This constellation of materials stresses what is inherited and opens new project possibilities, placing the discipline in dialogue with its history and with the urban present. More than an exhibition, the Fragments of Architecture Pavilion is presented as a collective look, where the built and the imagined overlap to experiment, discuss and reimagine architecture in a contemporary key.
