II International Meeting of Education, Art and Culture "Spinning Knowledge"

In this second version of "Spinning Knowledge", you will be able to access the International Seminar and discussions on art and education projects and programs developed in different territories.

At 10 a.m., the artistic education experience tables will begin, with selected cases from various parts of the country, which will be presented in two groups.

• 10 a.m., Table 1: “Live your class”, sensitive cartography: walking as an educational artistic practice that reimagines Puente Alto; "One meter of that land is worth ten of anywhere" from the Valle Verde Kindergarten; “Libreando”: experiences of reading mediation and creative writing with young people deprived of liberty at CIP CRC Limache; and "Desertora" from the Chuit Rural School, from the island of the same name in the Desertores archipelago.
• 12 noon, Table 2: “Teach with the intention of beauty” Norte Maps: interactive map of the Norte Grande town of Valdivia; «Small is beautiful. Art and education among neighborhood residents» from the Museum of Contemporary Art; “Raíces de Huichas”, project on the cultural and natural identity of Isla Las Huichas; and “Colored Errands: A proposal for school art and science in a Mistralian key” from Salamanca.

At 3 p.m., a tribute will be paid to Alicia Vega, film researcher and teacher, who developed the Cine Foro Escolar program, an initiative that, between 1980 and 1984, took 40,037 girls and boys from schools in the Metropolitan Region to film appreciation sessions at the Normandie cinema. This experience led her to set up, in the midst of the dictatorship, the Film Workshop for children, aimed at sectors of extreme poverty. Through an unprecedented methodology, developed by Alicia Vega herself, this program remained in execution between 1985 and 2015, which is why the SEA, together with the Alicia Vega Foundation, will pay tribute to her invaluable contribution to human rights and the artistic education of boys and girls.

At 4:30 p.m., the seminar continues with conversations about projects developed in Chile and Ecuador. They exhibit the projects "Emails from the middle of the world", with María Consuelo Thome (Ecuador); "Imaginary travel logs", by Alicia Villarreal (Chile); and "The metaphor of Lichen, experiences from the southern south", with Nataniel Álvarez (Chile). The closing will be a conversation with the artists together with Pablo Rojas, Head of the Department of Training in Arts and Cultures of MINCAP.
