GAM joins the celebration of Heritage Day 2019 with a day full of activities organized by Barrio Arte:
The GAM will carry out a series of free activities in order of arrival:
Barrio Arte - Lastarria Route
Tour that starts at the GAM esplanade, to learn about its history and art collection. Continue along Lastarria Street passing by the Church of Veracruz, the El Biografia Cinema, the Casa O Cultural Center, the Estefanía Leighton Community Mural, the Luciano Kulczewski Workshop House and the Licuado Collective Mural on Santiago Bueras Street. The route also includes the Museum of Visual Arts, Santiago Archaeological Museum Room and Plaza Mulato Gil de Castro, to continue along Merced Street and end with the Mural by the artist Jade.

Archive digitization day and guided tours
Come and digitize your public documents with the UDP, such as identity cards, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc. There will be scanning stations at BiblioGAM, where attendees can bring their documents and the digitized copies will be sent to their emails, in addition to being published on the websitedocumentospublicos.cl as part of the Community related to the project. In addition, there will be guided tours of the "Raúl Zurita Project" exhibition guided by those responsible for the exhibition, Carolina Gainza and Carolina Zúñiga.

Heritage Guided Tours
There will be a tour of the art collection that dates back to 1972. You will also be able to learn about the history of this building, from the original project (UNCTAD III), then Diego Portales until reaching today as the GAM Cultural Center.

Nikola Tesla Exhibition
Guided tour of the exhibition that brings to the present the history and legacy of the genius Nikola Tesla, the father of electricity. The public will discover the scientist's inventions and why he has become a pop culture icon today. There will be augmented reality installations, photographs, animations and modules dedicated to his “magical inventions”, such as the Tesla coil, plasma balls and the alternating current motor.

In addition, the talk “The Genius of Tesla and its current projection” will be held, where the material and intangible heritage of this popular scientist will be delved into.

Street Milonga
Open, free and independent tango in the GAM squares led by the Milonga Callejera group. A day with classes open to the public in which this traditional Argentine dance will be practiced outdoors, seeking social integration through dance and public spaces.

International Poetry Festival
Democratizing poetry is the main motto of FIP Santiago and this time they will do it through a poetic recital through which renowned creators from the national scene will pass, commemorating poems that seek to enhance the intangible heritage of letters.

Tickets for Golden Big Band
The cast of the Maule Regional Theater, made up of regional musicians, will perform characteristic hits from the big jazz bands, with songs by John Williams, George Gershwin, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Paul Anka and Dizzy Gillespie. For this day only, tickets will be given away to those who attend to celebrate with the GAM.

Kul Route
From the GAM plaza, boys, girls and neighbors will be guided to tour the Parque Forestal neighborhood in which they will talk about migration, identity and territory. Neighborhood themes will be worked on to encourage the rescue of heritage in the homes of the participants. We will visit places such as the Architect's house, the Gargoyle building, the forest park, the first elevator in Santiago and we will return to the Cultural Center where, together with the students of the Silva Henríquez Catholic University, a pedagogical activity will be carried out where the children will capture what they have learned in drawings.
