Guided tours of the GAM building

The visit is aimed at all those interested in discovering the history of an emblematic space that today houses the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center, GAM.
The duration is approximately 1 hour, and recovers the historical mission of the building, through knowledge of the different stages from the original project (UNCTAD III), then the Gabriela Mistral Metropolitan Cultural Center, later Diego Portales until reaching today as the GAM Cultural Center. On this occasion, guided tours will also be included to the GAM Visual Arts Room Exhibition, "Black Box: Collective exhibition around creative processes." 

Sunday 27
11 a.m. Historical Guided Tour in order of arrival to the GAM Information Inn.
12 p.m. Guided Tour of Visual Arts + activity / exhibition "Black Box: Collective exhibition around creative processes." Prior registration at the information desk from 10 a.m. (20 places).

Family Kul Route

Route designed for boys and girls from 6 years old, together with an adult, where elements of history and unique characteristics of Kulczewski's architecture present in the Parque Forestal neighborhood are incorporated through a visit to one of its buildings. As a closing of this aesthetic and playful experience in the neighborhood, a manual activity (plastic sensitivity) will be carried out at the GAM by the Silva Henriquez Catholic University that will capture the experience after visiting the selected landmarks. With the support of the Parque Forestal Neighborhood Council and the guidance of Somos Aldea, Arquitectura, Ciudadanía & Learning.

Activities "The Artisan's Route"

The exhibition is a space for national crafts where artisans recognized by the Council and belonging to the Artisans Table of the Metropolitan Region exhibit. These activities will be in Plaza Oriente de GAM on Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., all free on a first-come, first-served basis.

12 to 1 p.m.: Artistic Presentation "Friends of the Cueca"
1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Workshop and presentation of techniques in goldsmithing
4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Workshop and presentation of glass techniques (engraving)

12 to 1 p.m. Artistic Presentation of the Reflejos de mi Tierra Group Table
1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Workshop and presentation of ceramic techniques

Art Neighborhood Activities

A route will be taken through the cultural, bohemian and gastronomic heart of Lastarria, starting in GAM, and then continuing along José Victorino Lastarria street, where we will discover the history behind emblematic mansions of the neighborhood. The mural of the Colectivo Licuado (Uruguay), Plaza Mulato Gil, will be discovered, to end at the mural of Jade (Peru), on Merced Street.
