Open art workshop for all audiences where we will work with the face of Gabriela Mistral.
Open art workshop where we will work with the face of Gabriela Mistral with the visual artist Carla McKay.
Attendees will learn small-scale sculptural techniques (taking an impression and then casting it in plaster) to apply them to the poet's face. Attendees will be able to freely personalize each of Gabriela's faces as a tribute.
The collective work will be an altarpiece with the different and varied versions of Gabriela Mistral made during the residency.
The workshop seeks to explore different versions in relation to the gender imaginary and its relationship with Chilean cultural memory. The collective work will also allow us to represent a community that promotes difference.
