Two days of electronic music and digital art bring the Frecuencias Festival to GAM, which in its second version will offer twelve panels with international guests, as well as live music and specialized workshops between September 29 and 30.

One of the main novelties will be the holding of a soundproof concert in the central square of GAM. On Saturday the 29th, from 2 p.m., the public will be able to bring their headphones and connect to the Facebook live broadcast that different artists will be doing live.

The event, held in conjunction with the Red Bull Music Academy, is aimed especially at the community of Barrio Lastarria and the surrounding areas of the GAM with the aim of inviting them to enjoy the work and sound of the guests, but in a reduced space of noise and loud volume.

In the room, an Electroacoustic Concert will be held that same day at 7 p.m. with the participation of Federico Schumacher, José Miguel Candela and Mika Martini. The event, carried out in conjunction with the Council for the Promotion of National Music, is titled "compatible concert", to bring together the world of popular and academic music through electronic and electroacoustic music.

The conversation panels will discuss topics related to the Latin American electronic music industry, organizational models, associativity, promotion, import of content, artistic circulation and event production, among others. The guests will be artists from Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay and Holland.

For the organizer of the festival, Camilo González, Frecuencias chose the South American focus to highlight the importance of the continent: "We need to get to know each other, get together, relate and energize a regional economy. We are a giant industry, but completely backward in relation to intercontinental exchange."

The executive director of GAM, Felipe Mella, rescues this musical initiative: "We welcome this event with great satisfaction and also taking precautions for the tranquility of the neighbors. As a novelty, there will be a special soundproof concert, and the other live performances will only be until 7 p.m. and with a maximum of 60 decibels of sound intensity. Thus we will once again have free, open-air musical offerings, but protecting the volume for our community."

Both days from 4 p.m. there will be live music in the central square and throughout the day Foodtrucks, showrooms, DJs, equipment, visual exhibitions and promotional stands. In addition, from the 24th there will be official festival parties at Club Ámbar, Club Subterráneo, Santo Remedio and Club Vita.
