The second Santiago version of the International Literature Festival (Filba) brings readings, workshops, panels, interviews, music and a literary tour. All free.
Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Santiago in harmony. The three capitals are simultaneous venues for a new edition of Filba. In Chile, the festival is held at the Diego Portales University and GAM.
In this cultural center there are thirteen activities programmed, in which some 30 writers and artists from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, the United States, Canada, France and Israel participate, among whom María Moreno, Alejandro Zambra, Raúl Zurita, Jorge Edwards and Edmundo Paz Soldán stand out. They delve into topics such as biography and graphic novels, the relationship of literature with the plastic arts and politics, and the creation of Bolivia, the guest of honor country of this version.
Filba started in 2008 in Buenos Aires and has since been a literary festival that focuses on authors more than books. Last year it arrived in Santiago and this year it debuts in Uruguay.
