The Festival that brought together more than 18 thousand people in 2018 returns to the GAM with free access to all its activities, under the motto “I like you when you read.” More than 150 national and foreign authors will participate in the three days of FAS.

With more than a hundred activities, the participation of 150 national and international authors, the launch of 65 new editorials, and under the motto “I like you when you read”, the second version of the Santiago Authors Festival (FAS) already has a date: from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29, at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM).

This year FAS will have more spaces in the GAM to deploy its cultural program, in addition to offering a greater number of youth activities and children's workshops, exhibitions of documentaries, along with interventions prepared by Seguros SURA where people will live experiences around literature. This is how one of the stages will be dedicated exclusively to graphics so that illustrators from the different publishers that are part of the Corporation can present their work live.

Among the already confirmed authors are José Maza, Ricardo Capponi, Raúl Zurita, Gabriel Salazar, Elvira Hernández, Óscar Landerretche, Lucía Guerra, Gastón Soublette, Andrea Cardemil, Jorge Baradit, Francisco Ortega, Gabriel León, Alejandra Acosta, Mauricio Redolés, Ernesto Ottone, María José Cumplido, Neva Milicic, Connie Achurra, Joaquín Barañao, Francisco Claro, Pedro Grez, Gonzalo Contreras, Marcela Aguilar, Malaimagen, Mauricio Paredes, Mario Hamuy, Félix Vega, Marco Antonio de la Parra, Rafael Gumucio, Guillermo Parvex, Pedro Cayuqueo, Rodrigo Cánovas, Javier Rebolledo, Mauricio Weibel, Marcelo Mellado and Patricia May, among others.

In addition, the festival will feature the participation of regional authors Rodrigo Ramos Bañados (Antofagasta), Carlos Basso (Concepción), Yanko González (Valdivia), Roberto Meléndez (Algarrobo), Leonel Lienlaf (Temuco), to name just a few. And from abroad they join Jaime Bayly and Renato Cisneros (Peru), Alejandro Palomas (Spain), Andonella and Plaqueta (Mexico), along with the editors Guido Indij and Eduardo Callaey (Argentina).

FAS activities will begin on Friday, September 27 at 5:00 p.m. and will end at 8:15 p.m. On Saturday the 28th the hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday the 29th, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
