Workshop: Gender in gender
Wednesday 29, Thursday 30 and Friday 31, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Room C1
GAM

The Women's Film Festival has among its objectives the reflection regarding the representation of women in cinema, in order to question the imaginaries that have been created and rethink the possibilities of the representation of “the feminine” on the screen. This is the sense in which this workshop by academic and director Miguel Ángel Vidaurre will be developed, in which attendees will be introduced to the strategies and possibilities of fantasy genre cinema made by and about women. A kind of genealogy of horror will be proposed, which dialogues with literature, painting and other arts, as a possible way to access the phenomenon from another perspective. Examples will be reviewed and strategies will be proposed to develop film ideas for future genre projects.
