A free meeting that will bring together, for the second consecutive year, authors from indigenous peoples along with more than 20 publishers from various regions of the country.
The program includes talks, conversations, storytelling, music and theater, in an open invitation to the entire family to appreciate and recognize the richness, diversity and vitality of indigenous and intercultural literatures. From childhood, students, teachers, cultural mediators, artists and all people who love reading, they will be able to approach a space that makes visible and values the voices that for a long time remained outside the margins of national and canonical literature.
Among the authors present will be Bernardo Colipán (Huilliche Mapuche poet), Paulo Huirimilla (Lafkenche Huilliche poet), María Teresa Panchillo (Mapuche poet), Graciela Huinao (Mapuche poet and narrator) and Josué Gutiérrez (Aymara poet, narrator and singer-songwriter), along with other creators from different generations and territories. In the musical field, the singer-songwriters Sandra Caqueo (Aymara), María Inés Huenuñir (Mapuche) and Raa Manutomatoma (Rapa Nui) will perform.
The VIII Fair of Tribute to the Indigenous and Intercultural Book is also a meeting point for publishers, self-published writers and illustrators who work on indigenous and intercultural themes, strengthening a platform that promotes the literary development of the country and encourages coexistence and creativity from cultural diversity.

This event is organized by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, through the Regional Reading Plan of the Metropolitan Region, together with the National Subdirectorate of Native Peoples of the Metropolitan Region (SUBPO), the Silva Henríquez Catholic University (UCSH), the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM) and the sponsorship of CIIR, Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies of the PUC.
Since its creation in 2018 by SUBPO, the fair has established itself as an essential space for the promotion, revaluation and legitimization of indigenous and intercultural literature in Chile, covering genres such as poetry, narrative, dramaturgy, chronicle, testimony, essay, historical, linguistic, children's texts and aesthetic proposals.
