As part of the Training program in the GAM Arts Industry, C.R.E.A (Connect, reinvent, expand and manage) returns, a training instance promoted by Banca Ética Latinoamericana, Chilecreativo and GAM with the purpose of developing business management tools for micro and small businesses through a cycle of workshops with representatives of the Chilean creative and cultural industry. Participants will be able to strengthen the capacity, competence and sustainability of their MIPEs.

Through a cycle of workshops with sector leaders, MIPEs acquire practical tools to organize and improve their business models to access different sources of mixed financing.

For this, work will be done on six axes: value proposition, commercial strategy, regulation and intellectual property, administration and finance, ecosystem, sources of financing.

According to the Study of characterization of creative MIPE companies in Chile (2022), 69% of the companies are micro and another 10% are small, adding up to 79% of the national total. Of this group, 43% depend exclusively on private funds; Contrary to common perception, 64% of companies depend on public funds for less than 25% of their income.

In this context, creative micro and small businesses face a series of barriers to improving competitiveness, such as the lack of knowledge and development of marketing strategies for their creative products or services.

Added to this is the high cost to integrate technology, tools, knowledge and human capital into your business; the conditions to access private financing; the need to install a consensual language for the administration of a creative company and to link to collaborative work networks to integrate into the business ecosystem.
