A deep reflection on community textile practices will be carried out by Pamela Reyes Herrera, Academic Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Health and Art Therapy at the Finis Terrae University; and Ana María Rojas Zepeda, from the National Textile Conservation Committee, under the moderation of Daniela Pizarro, textile artist and member of Nido Textil Cooperativa de oficios.
Nido textile held a collaborative residency last year, free and open to the community, where 88 people participated and learned textile techniques, discussed and contributed their own knowledge. They designed and made a large-format collaborative tapestry, inspired by the work that the Isla Negra Embroiderers did for the UNCTAD III building.
