A conversation that will address the scope of this innovative and multidisciplinary exhibition by Liliana Iturriaga, where art merges with new technologies, media and digital platforms.
In Angular Geometry, Liliana Iturriaga once again gives an account of her particular style, characterized by geometric abstraction and kineticism. For this representative of contemporary art, this opportunity marks a significant milestone in her career. "I am grateful for allowing me to hold this new exhibition with unpublished works and develop a particular aesthetic where I fuse a geometry of angular shapes with the gestural line as an important element," says the artist.
The UC Cultural Heritage Director and current MINCAP Advisor, Emilio De la Cerda, will talk about these topics and the details of the exhibition, along with the art historian, Marisol Richter. Moderator, journalist Maureen Lennon Zaninovic.
Architect and master in architecture UC (2006). From 2007 to date he has worked as a teacher at the School of Architecture of the same university. From the OWAR Arquitectos office, he has developed a series of public and private projects. He is co-author of the Quinta Monroy project in Iquique, the first housing complex developed by the ELEMENTAL initiative.
In April 2011 he became Executive Secretary of the Council of National Monuments of Chile. At the beginning of 2018, he took over as Undersecretary of Cultural Heritage of MINCAP. He held the position of School Director of the UC School of Architecture and is currently Director of UC Cultural Heritage and Advisor to the National Council of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.
Master in History, University of Santiago de Chile and Bachelor in Art History, SEK International University. Extraordinary assistant professor, Institute of History, Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, Universidad de los Andes, Chile. In charge of the Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage and Management, and curator of the UAndes Arts Museum.
He is also a member of the Chilean Art Critics Circle; from AICA International, International Association of Art Critics, and from the International Committee of Museums, ICOM/Unesco. She is currently Director of the Master's Degree in History and Management of Cultural Heritage at Universidad de los Andes.
