Under the motto «Territorial Developments: between the Scene and the Dwelling», this conference will examine how territorial dynamics influence stage creation and design practices. The meeting organized by ADEA and DESCENICOS will feature the participation of scenic designers, students, professionals, researchers and critics of the performing arts of Latin America, through presentations, round tables, talks, forums and special activities open to the public.

Representatives from Chile, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Uruguay, among others, will participate in the event, whose fundamental purpose is to bring together stage design professionals to reflect on common problems in both the training and professionalization of the discipline.

For Katiuska Valenzuela, member of the organizing committee and president of the National Association of Scenic Designers of Chile, this congress "is an event of great magnitude and of great national and international significance for our profession. Meeting in a space to dialogue, think and reflect on our professional work will allow us to delve deeper into the path of deepening the visibility of the scenic designers of our territory."

In its 2025 version, the congress will focus on how territorial developments influence stage creation, addressing the problems and opportunities that arise in the interaction between the stage and the territories. Where 50 selected presentations from Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay, evidencing the diversity of disciplinary thought in our region. Promoting an open dialogue about territorial narratives and how they configure and transform performing practices.
