The Minister of Culture, Ernesto Ottone, accompanied by artists and regional authorities, announced that starting Tuesday, June 30, the call to apply for the 2016 Culture Funds will open.
Some of the main changes contemplated in this call are related to facilitating access to the Funds, through the improvement of the application platform. In addition, the general decrease in pecuniary co-financing is deepened.
"I want to take the opportunity to thank the artists and cultivators for their patience and discipline in the application process. Please know that we are working at full speed to make this an increasingly expeditious tool according to your needs," added the head of Culture.
In the area of inclusion, the Book Fund presents a new modality in the Creation Line, for writers who come from indigenous peoples, allowing them to apply their literary creations in a bilingual way.
Regarding decentralization, the Music Fund creates the associativity line, which finances training, dissemination, promotion and/or connectivity projects, which are promoted by groups, associations, unions and guilds of musicians with legal personality.
Meanwhile, in education, the Fondart Regional in its line of cultural exchange has an emphasis on projects that are developed in public schools and their communities to promote the valorization of migrant cultures from early childhood.
In its 2016 version, the Culture Funds have 37 lines and 70 modalities in total. The projected budget is greater than 20.3 billion pesos, which represents a growth of 7.2% compared to the previous competition. The results will be published in December.
