A web book that is a complement to the play "Rock Hudson's Kiss", bringing together textual materials, critical reflections and situated writings that emerge from the creative and community process of the project.
The publication includes the full text of the work, along with a series of unpublished theoretical and activist texts that address the main topics of the piece: HIV/AIDS, politics of contagion, memory, archive, affection, body, stigma and collective resistance. These writings propose a political and sensitive reading of HIV from the present.
The book also incorporates reflections from the creative team and their logs, which document the creative processes, ethical decisions and work methodologies developed throughout the project, understanding stage creation as a situated, collaborative practice focused on the HIV-positive experiences collected for staging.
Conceived as a living and digital archive, this web book does not seek to close the process, but rather activate new readings, spread questions and sustain memory as a collective practice in the face of oblivion.
