BiblioGAM Reads: Women's Month

During the commemoration of Women's Month, BiblioGAM will seek to promote critical thinking in boys and girls from the age of 5, around topics such as feminism, discrimination, racism and gender equality. We will read the following stories:

Small & Grande Simone de Beauvoir, by María Isabel Sánchez Vergara and illustrations by Christine Roussey.
Review: Simone de Beauvoir was a philosopher, professor, essayist, novelist, political activist, intellectual, defender of human rights... Simone de Beauvoir represents the ethical commitment to the social and political problems of her time. Her works on the role of women in society and her work served as an impetus for the feminist movements of the 20th century.

Review: At the age of thirty, Rosa became a leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Montgomery, in the United States, and began working to end inequality. At the age of forty-two, she was arrested and imprisoned because she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white person. His arrest united African Americans in Montgomery to demand change. Rosa was a lifelong activist, helping and inspiring countless people with her courage, dignity and determination in the fight for equality of human beings.
