Àddina is a production co-produced by MC2: Maison de la Culture de Grenoble – national scene and the Amala Dianor Company, scheduled to premiere in September 2027 in France. “The world” in Wolof—but also “the place of passage, encounter, and creation”—Àddina is a celebration that honors the differences that bring us together. Born from a postcolonial consciousness and inspired by the hip-hop movement's motto Peace, Unity, Love, and Having Fun, the work explores our ability to transform memory into creative energy and to turn cultural mix into political joy. On stage, the aim is to bring together dancers from Asia and South America to embody the mosaic of the contemporary world and give life to a new voice, a danced dialogue - nourished by urban, classical and contemporary dance, allowing indigenous dances to emerge - from an ensemble choreography, the uniqueness of each performer emerges thanks to the strength of their land, the musicality of their language and the memory of their gestures. Àddina then becomes a dancing world: each body, in its uniqueness, embodies the face of all humanity, and the spirit of hip-hop reappears: peace through movement, unity through vibration.

Amala Dianor is a French choreographer whose elegant and organic style is rooted in the formal exploration of movement, in the crossing of languages. Gliding with virtuosity from one body grammar to another, he strips the techniques of their spectacularity to preserve the movement in its purest state. Fascinated by encounters and dialogue between people, he develops a fusion dance of hybrid forms and opens a poetics of otherness.

The Amala Dianor Company currently has 21 works in its repertoire and performs on average 80 performances a year in France and the world, with the support of highly prestigious institutions.
