FAMFEST 2019 opening

On Sunday, July 14, the twelfth edition of FAMFEST, the International Family Theater Festival organized by Centro Mori, begins and, as is tradition, the winter holidays will begin with an opening in the central square of GAM starting at 11:00 a.m., with free entry.

The event will begin with an interactive plaza with circus shows by the companies La Patogallina and Aborigen, lambe lambe boxes by Oani Teatro, puppets and a traditional games fair, among other activities. There will also be a performance of the family production “Lucila, lues de Gabriela” by Teatro de Ocasión and a presentation by the La Pintana Youth Orchestra.

Year after year, FAMFEST has become a milestone in the winter holidays, establishing family theater month. This 2019 the festival will be held between July 14 and 28, an edition that commemorates the 30 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child under the motto “Children and citizens”.

The 7 participating countries are England, Italy, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru and Chile. The national billboard will present 5 premieres and 12 revivals, in addition to a new space for music with 4 concert theater bands. In addition, a free extension will be carried out in the communes and regions of the country.
