The GAM Cultural Center has not authorized this new mural and was not consulted about said action either. Given the intervention of the wall, GAM proceeds to carry out investigations, to which a claim is filed with the Municipality of Santiago and the appointment of an inspector is formally requested given that they were advertising a commercial brand.
At the same time, at the beginning of this week, GAM contacted Mono González to inform him that it was an unauthorized intervention and agrees to work together with the artist to recover that space. The artist himself commented: "GAM was the first to inform me and I know that they took all the necessary steps. The last thing I want is to damage the cultural work they have done at GAM."
Finally, it is clear that for GAM, the artists and the historical memory of the building are very important, proof of this is our artistic programming that has covered it during its eight years of existence.
