The artist Bruno Salas researched for years and interviewed key figures to create this documentary that rescues the Maruenda sculpture. The film includes valuable material from the construction of the building during the government of Salvador Allende, its operation during the UP, during the dictatorship and from the 90s until the fire.

The special exhibition of the documentary, winner of the Audience Award for Best Film at Sanfic 2014 and the National Competition of the Iquique International Film Festival 2015, is part of GAM's will to support initiatives that rescue the history of the building in general and specifically its art collection. Along these same lines, an exhibition of Maruenda's work has been scheduled for September of this year.

Gas Escapes will be released through the MiraDoc program on April 9 in 20 theaters in the country.
