With a tribute to the outstanding Chilean actor, theater director and academic, 2015 National Prize for Performing and Audiovisual Arts, Héctor “Tito” Noguera, this Friday, November 7, a new version of the Night of the Theaters 2025 was held, one of the most anticipated milestones by the performing community and the general public.
The meeting, organized by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage and the Metropolitan Theater Network, had the participation of a large part of the Network's member venues, which will open their doors to experience a unique day dedicated to the performing arts.
"Just a few days after saying goodbye to 'Tito' Noguera, it is very significant to be able to dedicate this version of the Night of the Theaters to him, one of the artistic disciplines in which he was a reference for many generations and where he displayed his deep passion for the stage. And with that feeling of gratitude and admiration for him we want to extend this invitation to citizens, to reconnect with their cultural spaces around the performing arts and to enjoy this evening in all corners of Chile," said the Minister of Cultures, Carolina Arredondo.
“With this initiative that is being carried out again together with the new board of the Red Salas de Teatro Metropolitana, as an organization we reaffirm our commitment to the reactivation of theater circuits and the democratization of access to the performing arts, inviting together with the Ministry of Cultures to enjoy the theater as a common space for meeting and reflection, in a great night dedicated to Tito Noguera and thus sharing with all our audiences,” commented Andrea Pérez de Castro, president of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Theater Network. For the new board, this event represents a fundamental step in its management, aimed at strengthening artistic circulation, public participation and the visibility of the theater sector throughout the Metropolitan Region.
During this edition of The Night of the Theaters, the capital's public was able to access more than 20 works with free tickets and a varied programming in various halls of the Metropolitana . The delivery of tickets was on Thursday, November 6 at the Gabriel Mistral GAM Cultural Center, where a team from the Red Salas de Teatro, accompanied by artists and presentations, distributed more than 2,000 free tickets to citizenship, inviting everyone to join this cultural celebration.
