"I want to highlight the programming of the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center, a diverse programming, which does not appeal to a single type of audience, but knows how to go out to find new audiences and multiply them, which dares to experiment, to propose new languages, but which is also capable of including families, children and people with disabilities," commented the Minister of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, Consuelo Valdés.

After the words of the authorities, reading of poems and live cuecas, the launch began with some hits from Lágrimas, Celos y Dudas. The eighties divas sang songs by Mecano and Daniela Romo.

Then the executive director of GAM, Felipe Mella; along with the director of programming and audiences, Pamela López; They detailed part of the 47 theater, dance, circus and exhibition creations that the 2019 program will have.

They commented on next year's programming that will be focused on Gabriela Mistral, Isidora Aguirre, indigenous peoples, social movements, counterculture, memory and family works.

The show ended with the Chilean group Saiko, with three of their great songs, among them, the adaptation of Gabriela Mistral's poem, Desolación.
