The awards were presented on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Las Condes Cultural Center and GAM had special recognition with some of the productions programmed in its rooms last year.
In THEATER, the "Best work and direction" went to Estado vegetalby Manuela Infante and Marcela Salinas, presented in December. In addition, Gabriel Urzúa won in the "Best Actor" category for his role in Pompeyaby Gerardo Oettinger, premiered at GAM in September 2017.
In MUSIC, director Paolo Bortolameolli was awarded for his work with Arnold Schönberg's Chamber Symphonies, presented in August together with the Solístico ensemble of Santiago.
In DANCE, Ricardo Curaqueo's debut film, Malen, premiered in October in GAM theaters, was recognized.
