For Alejandra Wood, executive director of GAM, in this way an outstanding debt with the poet is settled. “We have focused this year's curatorial line on his figure not only because our center bears his name, but because we think that as a country we have a debt to recognize his figure and spread his thoughts,” he points out. “The commemoration of the Nobel Prize award will be an axis in the activities that we will develop during the year and in the artistic programming that will highlight feminine perspectives in the arts.”
“The 2015 programming has been prepared based on an open call that has invited creators to think along these curatorial lines,” says Javier Ibacache, director of Programming and Audiences at GAM. “Special projects – such as GAM productions – and initiatives developed in collaboration with other local and foreign institutions are also added.”
