This 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the designation of June 5 as World Environment Day at the United Nations Conference, held in Stockholm in 1972.

To celebrate this historic day, GAM will designate all of June as Environment Month with plays, dance, eco-friendly activities, music and more. “One Earth” was the motto used 50 years ago and is still valid today in its central theme: this planet is our only home and it is humanity's responsibility to safeguard its finite resources. The slogan highlights the need to live sustainably, in harmony with nature, through substantial changes driven by policies and daily choices that guide us towards cleaner and more ecological lifestyles.

At GAM there will be a special celebration on Sunday the 5th from 11 am with free activities such as an Eco Mercado fair, two workshops and a concert. The rest of the month there will be plays (Efecto fauna, Manifesto of a copper woman in the window, Wallmapu ex situ: Expanded territory), dance (Mollfun: Territories of water and death), an exhibition with conversations (Green together) and much more.
