From Van Gogh to Radrigán

Nine other premieres will come to life this year. Art, love and madness tension the scene with "We, Theo and Vincent", a work by Jean Menaud that explores the brotherly relationship between Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. Directed by Rodrigo Bazaes, the work reveals an intimate look at the creation, dependence and emotional deterioration of two brothers united by art.
“Elephant Head” will be the new work of the company Silencio Blanco, directed by Santiago Tobar. With his renowned puppets, he narrates the transformation of a man who loses his memory until he becomes an elephant. The work poetically reflects on memory, oblivion and the fragility of human identity.
Rock Hudson's Kiss
The Commune Collective
Testimonies and archives of HIV+ people will arrive with “Rock Hudson's Kiss”, a work by the La Comuna Collective. From a critical and dissident perspective, the show activates sexuality and contagion as a practice of community memory.
Velociraptors
Andrea Franco
Under the direction of Andrea Franco, "Velociraptors" will feature three elderly women who lead a revolt in a wholesale supermarket. To the rhythm of trap and psychedelic cumbia, she seeks to vindicate the dignity of all women.
The pen of Nona Fernández returns with the premiere of "The unknown dimension". Together with the company The Dark Piece, the work presents the story of an ordinary man whom history during the dictatorship turned into a monster.
An extensive title comes with the text by Carla Zúñiga: "What happens in space while you cry at home in the fetal position". Directed by Manuel Morgado, the play explores motherhood as a limit experience and reveals the radical transformation of a woman after giving birth.
Pablo Greene will arrive with "Make dad great again", a dramatic comedy inspired by a Washington Times report about families fractured by misinformation. With acid humor and emotion, he reflects on the effects of fake news and political fanaticism in today's society.
José Antonio Raffo
“Pain has something of Radrigán” reinterprets the figure of the playwright 10 years after his death from an intimate and contemporary perspective. Written by Leonardo González and directed by Juan Pablo Troncoso, the work presents Francisco Melo and Ignacia Agüero in a fable of poetry, humor, memory and love.
