SFFF is the first international fashion film festival held in Chile and that unites fashion, design and cinema with talks, retrospectives and exhibitions.
Fashion Films are born from the fusion of cinema, fashion and advertising. They are short films that are characterized by a communicative style that seeks to privilege the beauty and aesthetics of the message over the product or brand. This new audiovisual genre has given rise to numerous international competitions that have been held with great success in cities such as London, Paris, Milan, New York, Berlin, Oslo, Madrid and Buenos Aires.

The festival in Santiago will cover three days where the selected short films will be exhibited and the best in each category will be awarded: Best National Fashion Film, Best Art Direction, Best Idea or Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, Best Costumes, Best Makeup and Hair, Best Editing, Best Fashion Film.

The first stage that included the call received 249 works from 29 countries, where 30 were selected in competition to be viewed by the jury.

The idea of this first festival is to make known what a Fashion Film is and present this new film genre.  In addition, it seeks to be a new platform that allows filmmakers and designers to exhibit their work and creations and expose the current problems that the fashion industry is going through.
