“The art of writing” is a story workshop that seeks to unleash the creative capacity of the workshop members. Through reading great authors and writing class by class, each of the workshop participants will be able to expand their weapons when it comes to writing, building characters and developing stories. At the end of the workshop, a virtual book will be created that will be disseminated through gam.cl.

About the author
Nicolás Cruz Valdivieso: Writer and screenwriter. Author of the book of short stories “I don't owe anything to Bolaño and other delirios” (Reader Award 2016) and the graphic novel “El Coup”, together with the cartoonist Kique Palomo. His novel “El Cristo Gitano” was published in 2016 by the publishing house Gestión Narrativa. His book “Narraciones quiltras” was published in 2017 by Oxímoron Editores. Awarded with various national and international recognitions, including the Municipal Literature Prize of the Municipality of Santiago, in the short stories category, 2006; the Hispanic American Short Story Contest Letra Turbia 2011 in Spain; the Animita Cartonera 2012 short story contest. Reader Award for Best Short Story Book Published in 2015.
