The “Chilean Billie Holiday” comes to GAM with a concert of great classics including With you I learned, La vie en rose, The girl from Ipanema and Fly me to the moon.
Recognized as the first diva of Chilean jazz, Rita has dedicated herself to the profession of crooner for 50 years, performing swing classics on different stages in the country, reviving memorable hits by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sara Vaughan, among others.
Possessor of one of the gifted voices of the local scene, Rita includes South American rhythms such as waltzes, bossa nova and Afro-Peruvian pieces in her performances.
The concert will include memorable songs such as I’ve Got you Under my Skin, Fly me to the Moon, La Vie en Rose, Chica de Ipanema, La Flor de la Canela, Summertime and Unforgettable.
