Within the framework of the commemoration activities of the Argentine Bicentennial and the VII Santiago Tango Festival, an open and free tango class will be held on November 25 at GAM. The objective of this meeting will be to get closer to this dance, through knowing its basic and fundamental steps as well as its musicality.
The class will be totally didactic and interactive. Participants will be able to experience the technique and practice for two hours. At the end of the class, there will be an exhibition by teachers Jimena Joeffner and Fernando Carrasco
Recommendations for the class
- To attend the class it is not necessary to come as a couple.
- Comfortable clothing and bring shoes, if possible.
- During the class there will be assistants who take care of your personal belongings but it is recommended not to bring valuable things that could be lost or damaged.

About the teachers
Jimena Hoeffner was born in Buenos Aires. In 2004 he graduated from the ACETA Academy of Argentine Tango Styles (Ballet School).
Fernando Carrasco was born in Rawson (Chubut). He studied a Bachelor's degree in Folklore with a mention in Tango, at the National University of the Arts (UNA).
Since 2012 they have been dancing together, performing in different milongas in Buenos Aires. In 2013 they became winners of the XI World Tango Dance Championship of the City of Buenos Aires in its three categories: milonga, tango and waltz, being the first time in the history of a metropolitan championship that a couple received all three distinctions. In 2014 and 2015 they toured Italy, Greece, Indonesia, Switzerland, Spain, France, and England. They participated in important Festivals such as Tango Emotion (Italy), Tango Paradise (Bali), Tango Secrets and Tango Pa´ Bailar Preveza (Greece), among others.
